These guards fit under vulnerable plastics, and protect them from playfield hazards. A protruding edge deflects edge strikes; the guard supports the plastic against airballs; and they protect plastics against scratches from ball guides. Our plastic protectors are cut from .060 PETG. PETG is similar to PET, a very tough plastic commonly used for tough packaging and soft drink bottles.
Our design process involves creating a CAD model of the original plastic, then designing a guard that extends underneath ball strike areas. Our parts are designed to clear riveted components whenever possible to make installation easier. We warranty our guards against breakage and will replace broken parts.
